2. Data Collected

We collect: name, email, phone, stay dates, number of guests, payment data (via Stripe — we never store your bank details), IP address and timestamp of T&Cs acceptance.

3. Legal Basis

  • Contract performance (Art. 6.1.b GDPR): booking, rental agreement, invoicing, payment schedule.
  • Legal obligation (Art. 6.1.c GDPR): accounting documents retained 10 years.
  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR): non-payment prevention, T&Cs timestamping.
  • Consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR): non-essential cookies.

4. Payment Schedule and Rental Agreement

Upon confirmation, a rental agreement and payment schedule are sent by email: 30% deposit upon booking, 70% balance 3 months before arrival, security deposit 3 months before arrival (refunded within 7 days of departure). By paying via Stripe, you accept the T&Cs — timestamped and stored.

5. Sub-processors

Stripe Inc. (payments), Kinsta Inc. (hosting), Google (anti-spam/analytics if enabled) — all US-based with EU standard contractual clauses. Your data is never sold.

6. Retention Periods

Contracts and invoices: 10 years. Booking data: 3 years after stay. Stripe references: 13 months. T&Cs acceptance timestamp: 5 years. Analytics cookies: 13 months.

7. Your Rights

Access, rectification, erasure, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent: reservation@mas-estello.com. Response within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.

8. Security

HTTPS/TLS encryption. Contractual documents stored outside webroot. All payments handled by Stripe — we never store your bank details.

9. Cookies

Managed via the Complianz consent banner. Update your preferences anytime via the footer link.

Conversational assistant

The site offers a conversational assistant to answer your questions about the house, rates and the region. Messages you type into the assistant are transmitted to our processor Anthropic (Anthropic PBC, USA, certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) in order to generate the reply. They are not used to train artificial-intelligence models and are retained by Anthropic for a limited period for safety purposes, then deleted. No account is required, and we invite you not to enter sensitive personal data in the assistant; for any personal enquiry, write to reservation@mas-estello.com.
